Let’s play a game!
You’ve recently come into some money. So much money, that you don’t know what to do with it all.
So you decide that you’re going to run a convention, just because you can.
Since money is no object. What would you do for your dream con?
What type of convention are you running? (Anime, gaming, Scifi, a little bit of everything, etc.) -
Location/venue? (Try to keep it reasonably realistic. We don’t think a convention on the moon would work…) -
What guests would you have? (try to include a music guest, a cosplay guest and some sort of internet/Youtube guest) -
What would be the main events at your convention? (Masquerade, Live Concert, Omake, etc.) -
What time of year would you run your con? -
Any age limits in place? -
What would be in your con bags? -
Who would you have as the MC? (Someone famous? Your best mate? or would that be your job too?) -
Who would you ask to do art for your badges? -
Complete this sentence - "The first rule of [Dream Con] is…" -
Anything Else? -
Big Sister and Little Sister - Bioshock.
My Big sister costume from Ayacon 2013 grouped with the best little sister cosplayer ever, Vicky Coppard. I had such a blast wearing this costume, after weeks and weeks of putting it together it got such a good response from everyone.

Everyone who attends cons of any sort needs to read this. Period.
Okay everyone, I’m what the Scots would describe as a “well-kent” face in the con scene, and I’d like everyone to know - follower or not - if you are being harassed, and you need help, and you see me, approach me and I will do all I can. Whether that involves physically interjecting or even just providing you with an out, do not hesitate.
Also both of us at Team Neko are friendly nice people and we love to meet new folks!
Just so folk within the UK Con scene know. We are super friendly and will talk to anyone about just about anything! All you have to do is come over and introduce yourself! We know that is easier said that done…but please know that you CAN do that with us without fear.
We want folk to know (especially people who are new to the scene) that they have at least 2 friendly faces they can approach if they ever feel worried, lonely, uncomfortable, or just plain scared about anything. We will welcome you with open arms and help introduce you to some of the most fantastic people you will ever meet in the con scene. We will listen to your problems and advise you if ask.
We know how intimidating it can be at your first convention. Especially since most groups of people are very well established. We know what an overwhelming feeling of happiness you can get when you finally make a friend.
We’re pretty easily recognized, especially since we don’t cosplay.
Zelly is the girl running around with a video camera in her hand and usually has big bouncy hair, bright colourful make up and accessories and an insane laugh that can be heard for miles.
XC is the big tall guy with long dreadlocks and beard. He will most likely be wearing some sort of vest along with his trademark khaki shorts…that are actually more patches than they are shorts material. He’ll have a big ass camera around his neck and a pint in one hand, large tin of energy drink in the other.
And of course, we will both be wearing bright green Team Neko badges.
Hooray! We’ve reached 200 Facebook Likes! That means our Sprite giveaway is now active! The winner will be announced at some point during the week.
In the meantime, head on over to our FB page and give us a wee like. Anyone else who likes the page before the draw will also be entered into the giveaway.
The draw will take place on Thursday
